Alpha Rehoboth College was established in September 2006. It was established as a co-educational institution and as off shoot of the Alpha Rehoboth Montessori School. It started off with JSS1, JSS2 and SS1 classes with only six students on enrollment. Since then the school has been prepared to face new challenges, initiate new ideas and undergone a lot of growth and transformation.

The college is managed by the Board of Governors which takes all major decisions and also advises and assists the principal where and when necessary.

Alpha Rehoboth College is located in Orisumbare Shasha in Alimosho LGA, a suburb of Lagos State Nigeria. The college operates as a day school but has plans to run as boarding school in the near future.

The Proprietress / Director of Alpha Rehoboth Schools – Dr. Mrs. R. A Monehin is a teacher and a seasoned educationist. She is also an Area Pastor with The Redeemed Christian Church of God Throne of Mercy Parish. She was spurred into embarking upon extending the scope of education offered to our Montessori graduands by establishing a secondary school, having received lots of complaints from our esteemed and dear parents lamenting the drop in the quality of education our Montessori graduands receive when they leave for other post primary institutions and anguish of having to change schools and establishing new relationship thus losing the knowledge and understanding already gained from our Montessori school. Having had the dream of establishing secondary school come to reality, the first set of six experienced teacher were engaged to blaze the trail with Mr. Nduabuike Chidi as the pioneer principal of the college.

Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwarotimi .A. Monehin is the proprietress of Alpha Rehoboth Group of Schools.

She holds the National Certificate of Education – NCE (1971), Bachelor of Education Degree – B.Ed (1977), Masters of Educational Administration – M.Ed (1984) and Doctor of Divinity (D.D) Degree in Theology.

She is one of the six (6) pioneering teachers of International School University of Lagos (ISL); due to hard work and total dedication, she rose steadily to be the Vice-Principal of the school before retiring in 1996. She was Principal of Corona Secondary School from 1996 – 1999.

Dr. Mrs. R.A. Monehin is a seasoned educationist, a devoted mother under whose tutelage one will obviously not miss the right path, a competent human manager and above all, a seasoned preacher and a zonal pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

The reason for her establishing schools cannot be farfetched. She had the urge and the divine calling to impact knowledge and life into generations and see them excel to be presidents, governors, senators, business men & women and professionals. This urge gave birth to Alpha Rehoboth Montessori School in September 1999 with twenty (20) pupils and seven (7) teachers. Today the school has grown in leaps and bounds.

The urge for impartation of knowledge was unstoppable, hence the establishment of Alpha Rehoboth College, Orisumbare in 2006. She is today a National Elder in The Redeemed Christian Church of God serving God and humanity with joy and in good health.

Though a widow and blessed with wonderful children, her determination coupled with God’s unending grace has made her to stand tall amongst her equals and she is truly an epitome of divine mercy.
